Dr.K. Kiran Kumar Reddy explained Good agricultural practices for edagaru Paddy cultivation. Ms. Venna Tejaswini created awareness regarding Meghdoot app and Damini app to participants. Explained favourable conditions for incidence of sheath blight, bacterial leaf blight in paddy through the data forecasted. I also explained control measures to be taken up for incidence of Sheath Blight such as seed treatment, applying nitrogen (3-4 times in split doses), maintaining weed free environment, spraying propiconazole 1 ml + tebuconazole 75 WP 0.4g in 1.25 ml water for every 15 days. Bacterial Leaf Blight can be controlled by seed treatment, applying nitrogen (3-4 times in split doses), following proper drainage practices.

11-02-2021:  Training programme on Better Management Practices in Carp culture:  In the present scenario in carp culture many of the features are unable to know the techniques in management as well as to implement the same in their culture practices.  Hence the training programme can bridge the sap of management practices in a need based situations. Moreover the technologies pertaining to BMPs are spreading from farmer to farmer and showing tremendous impact on reducing cost of cultivation and also the culture duration in significant level. KVK Nellore is focussing in many of the practices under BMPs such as site selection,  design and construction, lining, fertilization, water filling, seed selection, transportation of seed, acclimatization of seed, water, feed, disease management practices along with harvest and post harvest techniques.

18-02-2021:  The Scientific Advisory Council meeting of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Nellore of SPSR Nellore district was held on 18.02.21 at KVK Nellore to review work done of 2020-21 and to formulate technical programme of work for the year 2021-22. The meeting was chaired by Dr. L. Prasanthi, Associate Director of Research (ADR), RARS, Tirupati and was attended by Dr. J. V. Prasad, Director ATARI Zone-X, Dr.B.Mukunda Rao, Deputy Director of Extension and DE Nominee, ANGRAU, Smt.Y.Anandakumari, PD, ATMA & Joint Director of Agriculture i/calong with Principal Scientists and Scientists of KVK, Scientists of other institutes of southern zone  and officials of state Agriculture Department and line departments, including progressive farmers.. The program started with playing of university and ICAR songfollowed by the lightening of Lamp. On this occasion three publications entitled “Vathavarana Adaharitha Vyavasaya Suchanalu”, VannmeiRoyalaSaguloNanyamaina Pillala Empika”andHaritha Gruhalo Vudyanavana Pantala NaruPempakam” were released. Dr. J. V. Prasad, Director ATARI Zone-X inaugurated the meeting in Zoom platform with opening remarks briefing the importance of KVK in horizontal spread of technologies. He appreciated the whole team of KVK for its extended activities like ARYA and ASCI trainings in the whole district. He also briefed that the action plan of KVK should represent the farming situations in the district and should be needy to the Nellore farmers.  Dr. L. Prasanthi, ADR, RARS, Tirupati, congratulated the staff of KVKfor receiving the Best KVK Award for the year 2019-20.  On her address, she bought out the potentiality of KVK for seed production and nursery development to supply quality material for the benefits of farming community in consultation with RBKs. She also insisted to strengthen the RBK staff by conducting regular visits and also by conducting regular training programmes to the RBK staff.  Dr.B.Mukunda Rao, Deputy Director of Extension& DE Nominee, ANGRAU,on his remarks explained about the importance of conducting SAC meeting and the members involved in it.  He also suggested the KVK scientist to do all its activities by involving the RBK, so that a very good linkage between KVK-RBK will be developed for easyspread of technologies.  Smt.Y.AnandaKumari, PD ATMA &JDAi/c, Nellore extended her greetings for cooperation of KVK and ARS, Nellore Scientists for helping the farmers with need-based trainings and diagnostic visits in the district. In this training programme Programme Coodrinator KVK Nellore explained about role of KVK in RBKs and ADA Indukurupeta explained about services provided RBKs. G Narayana Swamy, SMS Horticulture explained in detail about Production technology of Chilli, Cucurbits and Coconut.

02-10-2020: All the staff members of KVK Nellore were celebrated 150^th Mahatma Gandhi Jayanthi at KVK Nellroe.

06.10.2020 and 15.10.2020:  SMS (Crop Production) Conducted training programme on “Improved production technology in Blackgram” and Method demonstration on Blackgram seed treatment under CFLD on Blackgram at Nandivoy and Ayyagaripalem villages respectively.  In this programme inputs also supply to selected CFLD farmers.

12-10-2020: G Narayana Swamy, SMS Horticulture has conducted assessment cum evaluation to Nursery worker course students (20 Nos.) and also conducted practical classes under RKVY-ASCI-Nursery worker course.

06-09-2019:  25 trainees were given with hand on training on Mushroom cultivation at KVK Nellore. The programme was funded by ATMA Smt.Y.Anandi Kumari,Project Director, ATMA, Nelloreinaugurated the programme.

12-09-19 to 13-09-19:- Organized ANGARU-SERP district level training program on value addition to millets at KVK Nellore. Dr G. Lalitha Siva Jyothi, Programme Coordinator delivered lecture on the activities of KVK and also the importance millets. Dr K.Vijayalakshmi, RA (H.Sc) delivered lecture on the nutrients composition of millets, uses of millets in the diet, about Labeling and licensing and preparations of various items with millets.  20 members of SHG women’s participated in the programme.

15-09-2019: ODLC on “Terrace Gardening”: KVK, Nellore, has Inaugurated and conducted “ODLC on Terrace Gardening” on 15-09-2019 to 47 enrolled participants. The participants of the programme were from Nellore dt. and Chittoor district Andhra Pradesh State. The ODLC was coordinated by Dr. G L Siva Jyothi, Programme Coordinator and G. Narayana Swamy, Subject Matter Specialist (Horticulture) Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Nellore. Dr. G L Siva Jyothi, Programme Coordinator Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Nellore in her inaugural address appraised the participants about the importance of urban farming and usage of Terrace gardening and importance scope of Terrace gardening and different methods of Terrace gardening. G.Narayana Swamy, SMS (Horticulture), Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Nellore, explained to the participants about the Terrace gardening importance, planning and design of terrace gardening architecture, method of preparation of terrace gardening, different potting mixtures, different organic manures and also practically showed to the participants terrace farming at KVK, Nellore. 

17-09-2019:  Environment awareness programme:Organised awareness on environment and distributed saplings of various fruits and agro forestry species to the farmers as a part of the programme. In this programme Dr.G.L. Siva Jyothi, Programme coordinator of KVK, Nellore explained about the benefits of growing plants around the houses. Chief guest Sri.Lakshmi Narayana, Principal of GVRR Junior College, B.V. Nagar, Nellore and P. Athulla, Field Officer, IFFCO, Nellore and KVK Staff participated.  Plants were distributed at DFI village Neelayapalem.

25-09-2019:  Programme Coordinator along with SMS (Crop Production) SMS (Extension) and SMS (Horticulture) distribute seeds soil health card, treatment Blackgram seed and rhizobium to 25 selected farmers in the DFI village i.e. Neelayapalem, Sangam (Mandal) under CFLD 2019-20.  In the group meeting programme coordinator explained regarding CFLD.  Objective and soil health cards interpretation.  While SMS (Crop Production) explained regarding Blackgram variety TBG-104 character’s and how to do seed treatment with rhizobium.  Seed which was supplied was already treated with Imidacloprid at Krishi Vigyan Kendra. 

(1^st Phase 2019-20): Open and Distance Learning Centre -  certificate course on "Organic Farming (1^st phase 2019-20)" was completed on 18-07-2019 by conducting examination and valedictory by Dr. Tulasi Lakshmi Thentu, SMS (CP). 33 members registered the course from Nellore district.  As per the guidelines three classes and a final examination was conducted at the end of the course. Dr. V Paramashiva, Scientist (Entomology) and Dr. U. Vineetha, Scientist (Agronomy), ARS Nellore were invited as guest lecturer to cover various topics in the syllabus.  All the topics in the syllabus were covered in oral lectures with the help of power point presentation. Out of 33 participants 23 attended the examination and successfully completed the course. Valedictory session was conducted at the end of the programme after completion of examination.

1-8-19: Training programme on Blackgram production technology:  SMS (CP) conducted training programme on Blackgram production technology at kondapuram along with SMS (PP) and SMS (Extn). 40 FPO members attended the training programme. SMS (Extn) done Pre and post evaluation to know the improvement in the knowledge levels regarding Blackgram production technology. SMS (CP) explained regarding the agronomic aspects to be followed to achieve high productivity in Blackgram. SMS (PP) explained regarding plant protection measures to be followed during Blackgram cultivation. 

01-08-2019:  Conducted SERP Training programme on Production Technology of Blackgram at Kondapuram mandal of Nellore district.  SMS (Extension) conducted Pre and Post evaluation test.  SMS Crop Production delivered lecture on “Production technology on Blackgram”.  SMS (Plant Protection) delivered lecture on “IPM in Blackgram”.

8-8-19: Training programme on Millet production technology:  SMS (CP) participated in the ATMA training programme as resource person and delivered lecture on millet production technology. 40 members attended the training programme. SMS (CP) elaborated regarding millets that are suitable to Nellore dist and new improved varieties released their yield and crop duration. Plant protection aspects to be followed while cultivating millets.

14-8-2019 to 22-8-2019:  Sampled Carp fishes (400 Nos.) weighing about 250 – 500 g. size were examined and released to the demonstration pond (Pond no.1) for achieving faster growth rate.

17-08-2019:  SMS (Plant Protection) Conducted ODLC Beekeeping examination at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Nellore. A total of 12 participants appeared for examination out of 15 registered participants.  Feedback about the training programme and a Group photo were taken after the examination. 

22-08-2019:  SMS (Plant Protection) Conducted training programme on “Fall army worm management in Maize” at Kondlapudisangam village, Nellore Rural where Maize crop is predominantly grown.  A total of 31 participants participated in the training programme along with Scientist (Crop Production), DAATTC and SMS (Extension), KVK Nellore.

04-06-2019: SMS (Plant Protection) Conducted training on mushroom cultivation at KVK Nellore. Dr S M Muneendra Naidu, Programme Coordinator, inaugurated the program by lightening the lamp followed by university song and speech on the activities of KVK and also the importance of mushroom cultivation in the recent days.  Dr N Krishna Priya, SMS (Extension) conducted pre evaluation to the participants before the actual start of the training program followed by the training by Dr M Pradeep SMS (Plant Protection). 25 members participated in the training programme.

19-02-19 :- Conducted  ODLC : Certificate course on “Organic farming” third class at KVK, Nellore . Dr.S.M.Muneendra Naidu, Programme Coordinator explained regarding importance of organic farming and soil health management. SMS (Crop Production) explained regarding steps to follow in organic farming like IPM, use of bulk and concentrated organic manures, green manures and also steps to be followed in certification. SMS (Plant Protection) explained about bio-control.

19.06.09: under ARYA scheme one day training programme was conducted by SMS (Horticulture). The program was started with lightening of lamp by Dr S M Muneendra Naidu Programme Coordinator followed by university song.  Dr S M Muneendra Naidu Programme Coordinator, KVK, Nellore, addressed the Farmers regarding ARYA scheme its objectives and importance. SMS (Horticulture) explained in detail about the shadenet construction, its importance and nursery management in various crops under shade net.20 members participated in the programme.
